This art gallery is in a basement that can be directly accessible from the street (which is one of the main pedestrian streets in Murcia).

This is an art gallery in a basement, a basement that has the typical elements of all basements: walls, foundations, pillars…

We have a concrete scene with hang pipes that gives us new conditions to start the project.

Inside: the program of an art gallery: (access, attention, small room, big room, projection area, an office, wc…).

Between inside and outside, there is a continuous glass filter, that can be double/simple, a sliding door, transparent, translucent, or opaque. A dense skin with an ambitious program (openings, daily use, outer activities…).

The service areas are close to the basement walls, as a double skin. There is a very big exhibition area that can work as single space or two different spaces, in order to have some multi-use rooms.

And the lighting did the rest of the work.
