We can understand the city without looking at it, if we look at one house. We will know the characteristics of urban elements where it is inserted.

TWO FACADES

That house has a dual condition: two facades.

Outside: it is hard, austere, protective against external environment, carefully closed and a filter for light.

Inside: it is open to the natural light and the open air due to its courtyard. It has a changing facade, it is different depending on the orientation, transparent/ translucent/ opaque and according to the degree of intimacy that needs the inner space. It is modulated and completely industrialized.

This project has two different uses: house and painting studio. They are near but not together (operate autonomously), and they share the same volume, but not the same scale. If you take a look from outside, you can see only a building, but indeed there are two building inside one.

The building appears to the public as a two floor building, but, actually it has four. The courtyard as an empty element that marks the lack of vertical limit.
