Plot- limits

The Project is located in Callao Square, a small open space in the town of ‘La Unión’, that has been urbanized recently for public purpose. The plot is between party walls, and has an irregular geometry with the main facades orientated to South and East.

The next buildings are workshops and warehouses, and there are some single-family houses around it.

Environment relationship

The project answers to the urban conditions, such as being in front of a square, and the main urban use: a residential building with three levels.

The building is adapted to the scale of the square. It has a continuous façade, and all elements are integrated: steelwork, lattices, lining…. The square facade is painted mural, trying to be a changing landscape.

Typology

There are eight houses, two of them have two bedrooms, and the rest have three. The car parking is on the ground floor with a direct entrance from the public square. This is in order to not building a basement that is quite expensive for the building purpose, and it is less effective.

The inner courtyards try to optimize the irregular plot, and they give the characteristic shape to the dwellings that have double orientation and can take future changes in an easy and quick way.
